There are many ways to connect with nature, but one of the most creative and innovative methods is through nature journaling. Nature Journaling Thru The Seasons is based on the Philosophy of Charlotte Mason.
Our Nature study takes a broad learning approach and also includes poetry, narration, artist and picture study, handicrafts, composer study and living books.
Nature journaling ignites your observation, creativity, connection with nature and critical thinking.
Nature Study is for everyone who wants to learn about and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Nature Journaling Thru The Seasons presents a curriculum that gives a foundation in nature study, with a step-by-step guide for parents / teachers to follow and track throughout the calendar year.
“We are all meant to be naturalists, each in his own degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant and animal life and to care for none of these things.” – Charlotte Mason
Happy Journaling!!!
Based on the Philosophy of Charlotte Mason
Welcome to Nature Journaling Thru The Seasons.
I’m Luzvie, home educator, artist, designer, married for over 20 years, and the mother of 2 awesome kids (Philip & Ysabelle).
My journey started with a Diploma in Fine Arts, then more than 25 years in the fashion industry and running my own business ventures, before deciding to home-school my own children.
I certified in Drawing Nature, Science and Culture in Natural History Illustration (University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia), and completed an internship with Ambleside Schools International (ASI).
In my 6th year of home education, I am following the Charlotte Mason approach. ‘For the Children’s Sake’ by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay was my introduction to Charlotte Mason (CM), it gave me wisdom, knowledge and insight on the CM pedagogy.
I lead a home education co-operative on nature study and Charlotte Mason. Nature study is close to our hearts and an important aspect of our home-schooling. We delight in the wonders of God’s creation.
Thank you for your support and let us grow the home education community with an appreciation of the natural world.
P.S. I love my coffee, especially when my husband makes it for me!!!
